New job, big scary London teaching hospital ... starting on nights. Joseph was the other Reg on call. Five o'clock in the morning and a conversation about the ventilator. Mind-boggling. Not only did Joseph make a massive difference to the patent's comfort, he took time out to teach me as well. I really appreciated that, especially as it was so early in the morning and he had a million other things on his to-do list. He made time for everyone. Every time I needed help, support or advice, he was there. I thank him for that. Such a great loss.
