I was one of the volunteer subjects on the COPD research project a few years ago at Imperial College. Dr Footitt gave me a cold! A bad one! I breathed and spat, and hawked and coughed. It was fun! Who would have thought that pipes up the nose and scalpels down the throat could be fun! As brief as was my relationship with Dr Footitt, I always remembered him and have been proud to have taken part in the study and pleased to have met such a charming, funny, human person. I even looked forward to the sessions. A lovely man. Bless him. Pamela Hall
