Cross-country skiing in Greenland

Joseph was the only teenager from Cornwall chosen to take part in the BSES expedition and had to raise more than £2,000, which he did by organising events and seeking sponsorship. The aim of the expedition was to combine scientific study with adventurous travel in a harsh and isolated environment and to develop the characters of the young people taking part. On his return home, he reported that he hadn't washed for six weeks!
